Sneaker of the week

1st post of its kind, in the post a member of Soul CNSR will pick a sneaker that they are interested in cop'n or have already cop'd and rate the sneaker and state why they are so interested.
Pk's Sneaker of the week is.... * DRUM ROLL PLEASE*
The Retro Nike Air Raid
The Air Raid was designed by Tinker Hatfield. The Double strap system looked as if it was just for looks but it actually kept the foot very secure for basketball . The release of this sneaker coincided with Spike lee's Movie "Malcolm X" , the shoes X look lead many people to associate the two. The Air raid was first released in 1992 it was initially called the Air Jack before it hit the production line. The sneaker was re-released in 2003 and again in 2008, the sneaker in the picture can be purchased at select Nike accounts and at your local DTLR.
" I fucked with the shoe because my uncle had them back in 1993 when i was growing up and i remember him getting two pairs and busting the other pair out in late 1999 ill never forget because he let me rock them to school i ended up just balling in them and fucking them up i wish i knew what had, the color way is crazy ill, the straps the sole everything about this shoe speaks to me . the sneakers bulky white sole is impossible to not look at especially on the black sneaker my bond with this shoe is like an unknown language its really something i think only i can understand..." - Pk

SOLE BROTHER SHOE & SKATE
Chris at Sole Brother just released the new Nike SB "Bo Rod" P-rod 2 and the Gold Trainer 2s

The P-Rod 2 has been the center of several collabs and special make ups. Tinker Hatfield and Hiroshi Fujiwara have both spun their version of the P-Rod 2, but now to the plate is the man responsible for Nike SB and current VP of Sport Culture for Nike - Sandy Bodecker as he creates the Nike SB Bo Rod.
This is the first high top version of the P-Rod to be released which takes on almost the silhouette of the Dunk High. There are more high tops to release on the horizon such as a “J-Rod 2″. These limited sneakers have released now at select Nike SB accounts including Goods in Seattle.

Chris also just released new spring MISHKA check out the store

Is Nike Sb "Killing" SkateBoarding

DONT DO IT ARMY
Alot of Skaters and Skate shop owners are saying that Nike is a large sporting good company that needs to stay out of the sport that skaters worked hard to legalize.
check out the link some people have some interesting opinions on the Nike SB company
"Then, sneakerheads lurking in the deep corners of the forums, get wind that these shoes are all the rage and realize that the only place they can get them is "at all these weird local underground shops with all this crazy skateboard shit". 'Cisco and his boys' are pulling up to your shop 3 car-loads deep from 100 miles away to score these new kicks. **On Blackberry** "Yo! I'm at SB Shop 2! They still got size 10.5 Bison High's in! You want them? 10.5 and 11's? Word! I got you!"
last statement was an opinion of a skate shop owner who believes that "Men in ties" need to stay away from Skating .
